The Healthcare Coalition of Maine is made up of eight district chapters, based on the public health districts of Maine. Each district chapter is convened by the DHHS district liaison, and the eight district chapters are coordinated and guided by Maine CDC through a statewide coalition coordinator.
The Healthcare Coalition of Maine is neighbors helping neighbors across Maine prepare for, respond to, and recover from emergencies that impact the healthcare system. We bring together hospitals, clinics, emergency services, public health partners, and other healthcare organizations to work as one coordinated network. By collaborating before, during, and after emergencies, we help ensure Maine’s healthcare system can continue caring for people when it matters most.
Our work focuses on readiness and resilience. This includes supporting healthcare organizations with:
-
Emergency planning and coordination
-
Training for healthcare and response staff
-
Access to medical equipment and supplies
-
Reliable communication systems and real-time information
Together, we strengthen Maine’s ability to respond to emergencies while maintaining safe, effective healthcare services.
